Daniel Frevert helped pace Lowell’s boys track and field team as the Red Devils competed in a loaded field at the Hoosier State Relays Finals (Large Schools), taking on some of Indiana’s top programs.
The meet took place March 28, 2026, at the Fall Creek Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis on a 200-meter banked track.
Lowell’s 4×800-meter relay team of Daniel Frevert, Aiden Hernandez, Zakary Hudak, and Jose Vazquez finished 20th overall with a time of 8:19.12 in a highly competitive distance field. The race featured multiple top-ranked teams, with several squads breaking the eight-minute mark and pushing a fast early pace.
The Red Devils competed against a deep group of large-school programs, with Bloomington North, Franklin Central, and Brownsburg among the top finishers in the team standings. The level of competition created tight races and strong performances across distance and relay events throughout the meet.
Lowell’s distance group gained valuable experience competing in a championship-style environment, using the race as an early benchmark against some of the state’s top talent. The performance provides a foundation as the team transitions into the outdoor season, where continued development and improved times will be a focus.
