The Lowell Red Devils and Hobart Brickies battled through a tightly contested Northwest Crossroads Conference matchup on Friday night, with Lowell emerging on top 20–17. The back-and-forth contest highlighted strong play from both sides, as each team found ways to seize momentum before the Red Devils pulled away late.
Hobart set the tone early when Nathan Sobczynski intercepted a pass and returned it 40 yards for a touchdown, giving the Brickies an immediate spark on defense. That play energized the Hobart sideline and provided a crucial early advantage.
Lowell responded with steady offensive drives anchored by Tymothy James and Brody Kalwinski, whose consistent rushing helped produce two touchdowns for the Red Devils. Their physical running style gave Lowell balance and kept the chains moving against a tough Hobart front.
In the second half, Hobart’s Peter Janda drilled a 27-yard field goal to even the score, demonstrating the Brickies’ resilience under pressure. But Lowell answered with two clutch field goals from Dylan Bisacchi in the fourth quarter, including a decisive 15-yarder that sealed the win.
Both programs left the field showing determination, with Lowell’s composure in key moments proving the difference.
