The Lowell Red Devils secured a decisive victory over the Kankakee Valley Kougars with a score of 56-14 on Friday, October 3. This win extended their unbeaten streak and reinforced their position as a leading contender in the Northwest Crossroads Conference. The match was held at Lowell High School.
Lowell’s offense demonstrated both efficiency and explosiveness. Jeron Cannon led the charge with 46 rushing yards, while Roan Vasko contributed 24 receiving yards. Cameron LeBlanc added five rushing yards, aiding the Red Devils in sustaining drives and controlling the game’s tempo. The team established an early lead, allowing starters to rotate in the second half without losing scoring momentum. This balanced offensive strategy kept the Kougars off balance, culminating in a significant final score difference.
Looking ahead, Lowell is set to host the Munster Mustangs on Friday, October 10, at 7 p.m. The Mustangs currently hold a record of 2-5 overall and 1-3 in conference play. The Red Devils aim to continue their winning streak and solidify their position in second place within the conference standings.
In their previous encounter with Kankakee Valley, Lowell also claimed victory with a score of 27-14. This result further underscores a recent trend of dominance over the Kougars.
