Lowell High School’s boys basketball team narrowly lost a home conference game to Hobart, with a final score of 35–34. The game took place on December 19 at Lowell High School in Lowell, Indiana.
According to the game’s account, the matchup remained competitive throughout all four quarters, with neither team able to establish a significant lead. Lowell’s defensive efforts limited Hobart’s scoring opportunities, turning the contest into a one-possession game late in the match. Despite staying within reach, Lowell was unable to convert in the final moments, allowing Hobart to secure a narrow victory.
Cass Hejnowski led Lowell’s scoring with 10 points and contributed five rebounds. Ezra Rumisek added 11 points and six rebounds, providing strength inside for the Red Devils. Aiden Hernandez scored eight points, while Lucas Brady contributed two points and two rebounds. Collectively, Lowell gathered 18 rebounds and forced several empty possessions from Hobart to maintain competitiveness.
Lowell is scheduled to return to action on January 8 when they host Gary West Side for another conference matchup at 7 p.m. In their last meeting on January 9 at Gary West Side, Lowell was defeated with a score of 54–43.
