The Lowell boys’ varsity soccer team secured an 11-0 victory over Kouts on September 8, improving its record to 3-1 for the season. The Red Devils demonstrated their scoring depth, achieving their largest margin of victory this year.
The result continued Lowell’s strong offensive pace. Earlier in the season, the Red Devils recorded a 9-0 win over Hebron and a 3-2 victory at Munster, combining high-scoring efforts with the ability to close out tighter contests. The team’s only setback occurred in its opener, leaving them with three wins in their first four matches.
Lowell’s defensive unit also contributed significantly to the outcome against Kouts by preventing the visitors from generating momentum throughout the match. The victory highlighted a balanced approach on both ends of the field, with Lowell maintaining possession and capitalizing on scoring opportunities.
Kouts fell to an overall record of 2-5. The loss reflected the gap in state rankings between the programs, with Lowell holding the No. 76 position in Indiana compared to Kouts’ placement at No. 257.
The win extended Lowell’s streak of early-season success and underscored the Red Devils’ potential to contend as they progress further into the fall schedule.
