After their 5–2 win over Wheeler, Lowell High School’s varsity boys soccer team is displaying the kind of depth and resilience that can carry a program forward. The Red Devils are building chemistry and confidence through shared contributions across the field.
Hebble’s two goals and Hejnowski’s three-goal outburst highlighted the team’s ability to spread the scoring load. That variety makes Lowell difficult to defend and points to a roster where multiple players are capable of stepping up in big moments.
The defense has also taken a step forward. The back line worked in sync to shut down Wheeler’s counterattacks, and midfielders tracked back effectively to help limit space. Coaches noted the improved communication between units as a major reason for the strong second-half effort.
Equally important, the team’s leadership is setting a tone of accountability and positivity. Upperclassmen are encouraging younger players, and that culture is fostering trust and adaptability. With these qualities, Lowell is establishing the foundation of a competitive
