Lowell boys wrestling earned a 52–18 conference dual victory over Rensselaer Central.

The dual was contested Jan. 22 at 4:30 p.m. at Lowell High School, where the Red Devils built steady separation with a series of bonus-point wins across the lineup and controlled the flow of the match from the opening whistle.

Lowell set the tone in the middle weights, beginning with Conner Allbritton’s technical fall at 132 to give the Red Devils an early boost. Logan Schwarzkopf followed with a forfeit win at 138, and Evan Stanley kept the momentum going with a fall at 144. At 150, Dalton Robson earned a decision in a competitive bout, before Jonathan Buczek delivered another pin at 157 to extend the team lead. Tyson Cotner added a dominant technical fall at 165, showing control from neutral and on top.

In the upper weights, Carter Ogborn contributed at 175, while Cayden Yuran picked up a victory at 190. Jaxon Fields then secured a fall at 215, and Kameron Hazelett closed the dual in emphatic fashion with a pin at 285, sealing the lopsided team score. The combination of falls, technical falls and decisive wins allowed Lowell to steadily build its total and limit Rensselaer Central’s chances to gain momentum.

Up Next Lowell will compete in the IHSAA Regional on Feb. 7 at 8 a.m. at Crown Point High School.
