The Lowell girls basketball team earned a 58–25 victory over Hobart in a conference matchup.

The game was played Jan. 15 at Lowell High School, where the Red Devils jumped out early and never trailed, opening with a 22–5 first quarter to take control.

Lowell set the tone with aggressive defense and balanced scoring, forcing turnovers and converting in transition throughout the night. Junior Brooke Dawson and junior Gatlin Hanrath each scored 12 points to lead the offense, while senior Aubrey Fleming added 15 and finished efficiently around the rim. Senior Hayden Blocker contributed seven points and provided a strong presence in the paint, and sophomore Alivia Madison added seven with activity on both ends. Josephine Laub and Tatum Claus also chipped in, as the Red Devils rotated multiple players and maintained steady pressure.

Lowell controlled the glass and shared the ball well, recording 21 assists while limiting Hobart to single-digit scoring in three of the four quarters. The Red Devils’ defense held the Brickies to just five points in the opening quarter and four in the fourth, sealing the lopsided result.

Up next, Lowell will host Rensselaer Central in a conference matchup scheduled for Jan. 29 with a 7 p.m. tipoff.

The last time the two teams met, Rensselaer Central defeated Lowell 53–41 on Jan. 30 in Rensselaer.
