Lowell and Rensselaer Central went into halftime deadlocked at 24–24 before the Red Devils blew the game open with a dominant third quarter, outscoring the Bombers 23–7 to seize control. The Red Devils continued their strong play in the fourth, adding 16 more points to secure the 20-point win. Lowell finished with 35 rebounds and 10 assists, controlling the glass and sharing the ball effectively throughout the night. The victory improves the Red Devils to 6-17 on the season.
Lowell heads into the IHSAA Class 3A sectional with a neutral‑site playoff against River Forest on Friday, March 6, at Hanover Central. The Red Devils look to extend their postseason run in a bracket that often swings on momentum and poise.
The teams last clashed on Nov. 25, 2025, when Lowell edged the Ingots, 45–43, in overtime at home. That narrow win gives the Red Devils a psychological edge heading into Friday’s rematch.
