Lowell secured a 2-1 victory over Boone Grove in a boys’ soccer match, thanks to a strong first-half performance.
The game took place on Monday, September 29, at Boone Grove High School. The Red Devils capitalized on their early opportunities, scoring twice in the opening 40 minutes. This early lead allowed them to control the game’s pace and keep Boone Grove’s Wolves on the defensive for much of the first half.
Boone Grove responded after halftime with junior Josh Gillespie scoring from an assist by Gavin Langbehn. This goal gave the Wolves momentum as they sought an equalizer and kept the match competitive until its conclusion.
In goal, Boone Grove alternated between sophomore Zane Johnivan and senior Max Truby, who together made seven saves to contain Lowell’s offensive efforts. The Wolves’ late push underscored their determination, while Lowell’s defense ensured their victory.
