Lowell secured its first victory of the season with a 45–43 overtime win against River Forest in a non-conference game on Tuesday night.
The match took place on November 25 at Lowell High School in Lowell, Indiana, marking the Red Devils’ opening home game for the 2025-26 season. According to reports, Lowell led 12–11 after the first quarter. However, River Forest gained momentum in the second period, establishing a 26–19 lead by halftime. The Red Devils mounted a comeback in the third quarter, outscoring River Forest 10–5 and forcing overtime with a crucial defensive stop in the final minute of regulation. In overtime, Lowell limited River Forest to five points while capitalizing on free throws and key rebounds to secure their win.
Junior Ezra Rumisek was pivotal for Lowell, scoring 18 points on 8-for-17 shooting and contributing 11 rebounds, four steals, and four assists. Senior Roan Vasko added 11 points along with a team-high of 10 rebounds. Sophomore Lucas Brady scored 10 points, while seniors Gavin Gudgel and Cass Hejnowski each contributed three points.
Lowell is scheduled to play next at Hebron on December 9 at 7 p.m.
