The Lowell Red Devils concluded their season with a 4-0 defeat against Crown Point in a Class 3A sectional playoff match held at Kankakee Valley High School.
The postseason contest took place on October 6, 2025. Lowell faced one of the region’s leading soccer programs, displaying determination and resilience despite the final score. The Red Devils maintained a strong defense throughout much of the first half, with significant contributions from their backline and goalkeeper. They managed to fend off several early scoring attempts before Crown Point scored late in the half.
In the second half, Lowell continued to compete with heart and intensity as they wrapped up their season against a formidable sectional opponent.
Crown Point will now advance to face Hobart in the sectional semifinals on Wednesday, October 8, at Kankakee Valley High School. The two teams previously met earlier in the season, with Crown Point securing another victory. Despite Lowell’s campaign ending here, their effort and teamwork have laid a foundation of pride and promise for next year’s return.
