The Lowell Red Devils girls’ soccer team concluded the 2025 season with an 8-9-1 record. They demonstrated perseverance throughout a challenging Northwest Crossroads Conference schedule, finishing strong with several notable victories.
The Red Devils began their campaign on August 19 against Hanover Central. They faced a difficult early schedule featuring top conference opponents such as Munster, Hobart, and Kankakee Valley. Despite early setbacks, Lowell found its rhythm by midseason, achieving a 7-0 shutout of Hammond Central and a 2-0 road win at Wheeler.
Lowell’s offensive strategy became more effective as the season progressed. The Red Devils secured dominant victories over Boone Grove, Andrean, Merrillville, and Griffith, outscoring opponents 24-2 during this late-season surge.
The team also competed against non-conference opponents like Harrison and Lake Central to refine their play ahead of the postseason. In the Class 2A sectional tournament at Hanover Central, they earned a thrilling 3-2 win over Illiana Christian before falling 4-1 to the host Wildcats in the semifinal round.
Looking ahead, the Red Devils will focus on offseason training with a returning core eager to build on this year’s momentum and aim to finish among the conference’s top contenders in 2026.
