Lowell football head coach Casey McKim wants his team’s 2025 season to be defined by progress. Taking over a program with one of the richest traditions in northern Indiana, McKim emphasized that the Red Devils’ identity will come from consistent improvement.
“Our number one focus is to get better,” McKim said. “Whether you have success or failure, that’s all that matters. Our goal is to be the best football team we can be at the end of the season. Everything is a step toward that.”
The Red Devils return to competition in Sectional 17, one of the state’s toughest, but McKim said his players’ energy has impressed him since his first day. “You could see it in the weight room, on the field — no hesitation, no doubt. They’re all in every day,” McKim said.
Senior leaders such as Brody Kolwinski and Lincoln Schneider said their drive comes from teammates and family. “I want to be the best for my teammates,” Kolwinski said. Schneider added that he models his effort after his older brother, a former standout, while providing vocal leadership.
