The Lowell varsity football team has begun its season with a promising performance, demonstrating a balanced approach on both offense and defense. This early momentum is setting the stage for their fall campaign.
The Red Devils commenced their season with a decisive 34-6 victory over LaPorte, showcasing a strong defensive effort that allowed them to control the game from the outset. The following week, they maintained this energy in a 42-14 win on the road against Griffith, where their offense effectively moved the ball and converted drives into touchdowns.
Lowell faced its most challenging test in the season opener against Crown Point, which resulted in a 38-7 defeat. However, instead of letting this loss dictate their season’s trajectory, Lowell responded by regrouping and securing back-to-back wins. This demonstrated their resilience and steady improvement on both sides of the ball.
Through three games, Lowell has scored a total of 83 points while conceding 58. This point margin highlights their ability to capitalize on opportunities when they arise. With a defense that has successfully limited opponents in two of its initial outings and an offense that frequently reaches the end zone, Lowell has laid down a foundation for consistent play as they advance into the core of their schedule.
