Lowell High School’s basketball team will commence the 2025–26 season with an away game against Wheeler High School. The non-conference matchup is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, at 7:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST) at Wheeler High School.
According to the team’s management, Lowell returns with a disciplined varsity unit that focuses on guard play, defensive intensity, and efficient ball movement. With several returning players stepping into expanded scoring roles, the Red Devils aim to generate early momentum by controlling the tempo and limiting second-chance opportunities. This opening game will serve as an early test for a roster that blends experienced players with younger contributors eager to make an impact.
Following this game, Lowell will continue its road stretch with a Saturday afternoon matchup against North Newton on November 8, with the game set to begin at 12:30 PM CST.
The upcoming game marks a new early-season non-conference challenge for both teams since Lowell and Wheeler did not compete against each other during the previous 2024–25 season.
