The Lowell varsity girls’ soccer team emerged victorious against Illiana Christian with a 3-2 win in a neutral-site playoff match. The game took place on October 7, 2025, at Kankakee Valley High School in Wheatfield, Indiana.
The Red Devils secured their hard-fought victory through strong offensive play and decisive second-half execution. Senior forward Kaelen Lulinski led the attack with two goals, while sophomore Macy Grskovich added another. Senior Brooke Miller provided an assist, helping Lowell maintain organization and danger in the attacking third. The Red Devils scored once in the first half and twice in the second to withstand a late push by the Vikings.
Sophomore goalkeeper K. Wilczewski anchored Lowell’s defense with 16 saves, maintaining composure under pressure as Illiana Christian sought an equalizer late in the match. The midfield of Lowell created consistent scoring opportunities, while their back line remained compact to limit second-half counterattacks.
Illiana Christian made a strong rally in the final minutes with two goals after halftime but ultimately fell short in this competitive contest. Looking ahead, Lowell is set to face Hanover Central on Thursday, October 9, 2025.
