Lowell Off to Strong Start Behind Dawson and Hanrath

0Comments

Lowell has opened the 2025 season with a 7–2 record through eight games, driven by junior guards Brooke Dawson and Gatlin Hanrath.

According to reports, the Red Devils’ early schedule featured a challenging series of away games, with victories at Wheeler, North Newton, East Chicago Central, Hebron, and Hanover Central before returning home for conference and local rivalry matchups.

Lowell’s guard play continues to be a significant factor in its success. Dawson provides perimeter aggressiveness and efficient scoring, while Hanrath’s playmaking abilities and size help control the offensive tempo. The Red Devils have scored over 50 points in six victories, including a decisive 65–20 win at Hebron and a 61–33 home result against Griffith. Lowell’s only loss came against undefeated Crown Point on December 2nd, falling 60–39 but competing against one of the state’s toughest programs. Through eight games, the Red Devils have outscored opponents 431–291 while maintaining defensive momentum and improving consistency each night.

Up next, Lowell is set to host Munster on Thursday, December 12th at 7 p.m.
