Lowell Red Devils dominate LaPorte Super Duals with five wins

The Lowell High School Red Devils wrestling team achieved a series of victories at the LaPorte Super Duals, winning all five duals. Their performance included a 53–20 victory over Merrillville High School and a 59–12 win against host LaPorte High School.

The event occurred on December 6 in LaPorte as part of the regular-season multi-dual action. According to reports, the Red Devils displayed dominance throughout the lineup, achieving two 81–0 shutouts against South Bend Adams and Culver Academies. They also defeated Rensselaer Central with a score of 55–16.

Evan Stanley played a crucial role by securing bonus-point wins, including a first-period pin against Merrillville and a technical fall versus Rensselaer Central. Bradley Rivera made significant contributions at 165 pounds, achieving multiple falls that helped extend the team’s lead. Cayden Yuran, Hunter Mallory, Logan Schwarzkopf, and Noel Verduzco provided key momentum with pins or technical falls during the competition. Kameron Hazelett added stability in the heavyweight category with both a fall and a technical fall.

With these decisive victories, Lowell continues its strong performance through December, showcasing balance and bonus-point wrestling across their roster.

The next event for Lowell is scheduled against Highland on December 17 at 6:30 p.m.
