The Lowell boys and girls cross country teams participated in the Northwest Crossroads Conference Championships on Friday, October 4. The event took place at Kankakee Valley High School, where athletes from across the conference faced challenging conditions on a competitive course.
According to reports, the Red Devils showed resilience and teamwork throughout the meet, with several athletes achieving season-best times. On the girls’ side, Lowell placed among the top teams, driven by consistent pacing and pack running from their lineup’s middle. The boys’ team also demonstrated determination by closing gaps late in the race and finishing with a solid team spread.
The next competition for the Red Devils is scheduled for Friday, October 18, at Highland High School. They aim to build on their current momentum and extend their postseason performance at the Sectional meet.
