Lowell’s football team concluded its 2025 season with a 35-15 defeat against Hobart in the sectional championship on November 7 at Hobart High School.
According to the team’s records, the Red Devils ended the year with a 9-3 overall record. This included a strong midseason performance that reinforced their position among the leading programs in Northwest Indiana. The postseason began with decisive victories over Hanover Central and East Chicago Central before they were defeated by Hobart in a rematch. Lowell’s defense maintained consistency throughout the fall, limiting six opponents to 14 points or fewer. Meanwhile, the offense achieved balance through an effective ground game and disciplined line play.
The Red Devils’ regular-season schedule featured significant wins over conference rivals Hanover Central, Highland, and Kankakee Valley. A notable victory was their 20-17 road win at Hobart on September 26, which contributed to a six-game winning streak as they approached late October.
Looking ahead, Lowell aims to build on its 2025 success with several key players expected to return, laying the groundwork for another postseason effort next fall.
