Lowell delivered a balanced showing at the Maverick High School Relay, competing across sprints, distance, hurdles, relays, and field events.
The meet took place March 14 at Purdue’s Lambert Fieldhouse, where the Red Devils tested depth against a wide field of competition.
Lowell’s sprinters made an impact in the 55 meters, led by junior Mckenna Leckrone, who placed seventh with a time of 7.70 seconds. Sophomore Elizabeth Alderfer followed with a 19th-place finish in 7.93, while senior Savannah Suggs recorded a time of 8.69.
In the hurdles, sophomore Addison Suhrbier finished 18th in 11.42, with junior Tatum Claus placing 21st in 11.70. Both performances added to Lowell’s presence in sprint events.
Relay teams contributed key results, highlighted by the 4×800 group of Kaylee Pickett, Alexa Patz, Veyda Myroup, and Josephine Laub, which placed fourth in 11:08.82. The 4×400 relay team of Mikayla Rogers, Pickett, Laub, and Ally Fremouw finished 10th, while the 4×200 team placed 14th.
In distance events, Mia Hollingsworth led a strong group in the 3200 meters, finishing 14th. Olivia Blink and Kylie Antcliff followed closely behind, completing a tight cluster of finishes.
Field events added depth, with Emma Miedema placing eighth in the long jump and Ally Fremouw finishing 14th.
Lowell’s results reflected consistent contributions across events.
