Lowell swept East Chicago 5–0 in a dominant girls tennis performance at home, controlling every court from start to finish.
The match took place on Wednesday, May 6, on the Red Devils’ home courts at Lowell Senior High School, where the hosts quickly turned the evening into a showcase of precision and depth.
Lowell’s singles lineup set the tone early, starting with Aubrey Fleming, who overpowered Denise Huerta 6–0, 6–1 at No. 1 with steady baseline pressure and clean finishing shots. At No. 2, Madi Nestorovski delivered one of the most decisive wins of the season, blanking Melissa Velazquez 6–0, 6–0 in a match defined by control and consistency. Emma Shaffer matched that dominance at No. 3, rolling past Ameliah Kante 6–0, 6–0 to complete a flawless sweep in singles play.
The Red Devils were just as sharp in doubles. At No. 1, Kinsey Meehan and Aubrie Lucka attacked the net with confidence, defeating Zabdi Ortiz and Karen Vazquez 6–1, 6–0. The No. 2 pairing of Myles Deal and Allie Miedema closed out the match with a 6–0, 6–1 victory over Lizbeth Sanchez and Amy Palasious, sealing the team shutout.
