When Casey McKim decided to leave New Prairie for Lowell, it wasn’t an easy choice. But as he moved through the interview process, the alignment between his values and the Red Devils’ vision became clear.
“It was hard moving programs,” McKim said. “You build bonds, and those are tough to leave. But what struck me here was the desire in the community and administration. Everyone is aligned toward the same goal.”
McKim said that shared vision — to raise young men who are tough, gritty, and capable — matched his coaching philosophy. “It became more and more apparent that this was the right place,” he said.
For players, the transition has been smooth. “The bond with Coach McKim and the staff has been great,” Kolwinski said. “It’s exactly what we needed.”
Schneider noted the change in intensity. “Practices are faster and more demanding,” he said. “It’s set us to a higher level.”
McKim said those details matter. “Every rep, every day is about building toward the end goal,” he said.
