Camden Mikulich enters his senior season focused on bringing a sectional championship back to Lowell, a goal the team has emphasized since the offseason began.
“That’s what we’ve been talking about,” Mikulich said. “We want to be the ones to bring it back here. Anything beyond that is great, but that’s the big goal.”
Mikulich said the Red Devils are approaching the season by concentrating on smaller objectives that will eventually lead toward that postseason target.
“We talk about accomplishing all the small goals first,” he said. “Starting with the home opener and then each game after that.”
Despite being quiet leaders by nature, Mikulich and the senior class believe their example can set the tone for younger teammates.
“We’re not rah-rah leaders,” he said. “We lead by example, doing the little things right, and the big things will come.”
Mikulich added that building strong relationships across the roster has been a priority as new players adjust to varsity competition.
“That bond with the freshmen and younger guys is important,” he said. “We want them to feel part of it.”
After competing in high-pressure games over the past two seasons, Mikulich believes Lowell has the experience needed to contend.
“A successful season for us is winning that sectional,” he said.
