The Spartans were defeated 51-25 by the visiting Red Devils in Saturday’s girls varsity basketball non-conference game. Despite a strong early effort from the Spartans, the Red Devils’ depth and defensive consistency secured them a convincing road victory.
The game was held on November 8, 2025, at North Newton High School in Morocco, Indiana.
According to reports, the Spartans displayed moments of promise offensively, effectively moving the ball and generating open looks in the first half. However, Lowell’s defense intensified after halftime, forcing turnovers and limiting North Newton’s second-chance opportunities.
Looking ahead, the North Newton High School Spartans (0–2) will face Winamac High School (1–1) in a home non-conference match-up on Tuesday, November 11. In their most recent encounter, North Newton lost to Winamac 58–19 in a neutral-site non-conference game on November 14, 2024.
