Lowell’s varsity softball team enters the upcoming season looking to build on an impressive 17-6 campaign in 2025, when the Red Devils finished 9-3 in Northwest Crossroads Conference play and placed second in the league standings.

The season took place during the spring of 2025 in Lowell, Indiana, where the Red Devils compiled an 11-2 record at home, 5-3 on the road, and 1-1 at neutral sites.

Lowell relied on strong pitching and timely offense, scoring 157 runs while allowing just 72. The Red Devils earned key conference victories against Highland, Hanover Central, Hobart, and Kankakee Valley, including a sweep of the Kougars. Lowell also defeated Andrean (9-3), Illiana Christian (12-5), and Lake Central (4-2) during the regular season. Among the team’s most dominant performances were shutout wins over Merrillville (14-0), Valparaiso (8-0), and River Forest (13-0).

Lowell advanced in postseason play with a decisive victory over River Forest before its season ended with a 6-2 loss to Hanover Central.

Lowell is scheduled to open the 2026 season on the road against Lake Central on April 6 at 4:30 p.m., looking to contend for a conference championship and make a deeper tournament run.
