Head coach Linsey Smith returns to guide the Lowell girls cross country squad into the 2025 season with the goal of strengthening team culture and climbing the conference standings.
Summer workouts have focused on endurance development, race strategy and mental toughness. Athletes have mixed interval sessions with tempo runs and finishing bursts to replicate meet conditions. Returning leaders bring pacing and racing experience, while new runners are adding speed and energy to the lineup.
The early portion of the schedule features multiple invitationals that will help evaluate depth and consistency ahead of the conference slate. Smith’s approach stresses discipline, teamwork and gradual improvement over the course of the season.
With balanced leadership and growing roster depth, the Red Devils aim to contend for sectional advancement and build a lasting tradition of competitive success.
