Lowell High School is set to commence its 2025–26 wrestling season, building on the successes of the previous year. The team aims to leverage its depth and championship-level performances as it enters the new season.
The team’s first competition is scheduled for Monday, November 24, at 6:30 PM CST. They will face Kankakee Valley High School in Wheatfield, Indiana. A previously planned home dual against Griffith Senior High School for the same date and time has been canceled. Following this, Lowell will participate in the La Porte Wrestling Invitational on Saturday, December 6, at 9:00 AM CST at LaPorte High School.
According to reports, Lowell returns with several athletes who have postseason experience and strong match-winning percentages across various weight classes. The upper-weight group remains a significant strength for the team, led by Kameron Hazelett. Hazelett made program history last season by becoming Lowell’s first-ever freshman 285-pound state champion. Early-season duals and tournaments are expected to provide evaluation opportunities as the Red Devils prepare for another competitive Northwest Crossroads Conference slate.
Lowell will continue its December competition with additional duals and tournaments leading into the holiday break.
In their most recent matchup against Kankakee Valley, Lowell secured a decisive 66–8 victory last season.
