Lowell’s varsity baseball team enters the upcoming season aiming to rebound from an 11-16-1 campaign in 2025, when the Red Devils finished 4-8 in Northwest Crossroads Conference play and placed fifth in the league standings.
The season took place during the spring of 2025 in Lowell, Indiana, where the Red Devils went 6-10 at home, 5-5-1 on the road, and 0-1 at neutral sites.
Lowell scored 155 runs while allowing 173, battling through a schedule that featured numerous close contests. The Red Devils earned conference victories over Highland, including a 12-inning 4-3 road win and a 5-2 home victory, and split a doubleheader with Illiana Christian highlighted by a 1-0 shutout. Lowell also secured key wins against Munster (6-2), Hanover Central (13-4), Hebron (14-3), and Rensselaer Central (21-1). Late in the season, the Red Devils closed with a stretch of wins over Hammond Morton (12-4), North Newton (13-3), and Wheeler (10-0).
Despite those successes, Lowell suffered several narrow losses, including extra-inning defeats to Kankakee Valley and competitive games against Hobart.
Lowell is scheduled to open the 2026 season at home against Lake Central on March 31 at 4:30 p.m., looking to improve consistency and climb the conference standings this spring.
