Rumisek Leads Lowell Past Whiting in Road Win

Lowell earned a commanding 68-29 victory over Whiting in a non-conference matchup.

The game was played Feb. 10 as Lowell traveled to face Whiting in regular-season action.

Lowell set the tone early, jumping out to a 19-2 lead after the first quarter and never looking back. The Red Devils continued to control the pace in the second quarter, extending the margin behind strong defensive pressure and efficient scoring. Lowell maintained its intensity after halftime, outscoring Whiting in each remaining quarter to secure the decisive 39-point victory.

Ezra Rumisek led the Red Devils with 22 points, providing consistent scoring throughout the game while also contributing defensively. Aiden Hernandez added 15 points, attacking the basket and finishing efficiently. Senior B. Spearson chipped in 10 points, while Cass Hejnowski, Lucas Brady, and Gavin Gudgel each contributed scoring as part of a balanced offensive effort. Lowell also moved the ball well, creating open looks and capitalizing on transition opportunities.

Defensively, Lowell limited Whiting to single-digit scoring in three of the four quarters and forced difficult possessions throughout the night, showcasing discipline and depth across the lineup.

Up next, Lowell will host Kouts on Feb. 21, with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m.

The last meeting between the two teams took place Feb. 22 of last season, when Lowell fell 74-59 at Kouts.
