Lowell football will once again face one of Indiana’s toughest postseason roads. Competing in Sectional 17 means the Red Devils will see programs like Hobart, Hanover Central, and New Prairie — a field that new head coach Casey McKim calls among the best in the state.
“Sectional 17 is one of the best,” McKim said. “There are story programs, and this Lowell program is among them. That’s the type of competition you want.”
The challenge comes with opportunity. “Every week is tough, and every week you have to prove yourself,” McKim said. “That mindset builds toughness.”
Kolwinski said the competition fuels excitement. “Playing rivals every week is the best part of football,” he said. “Those games mean a lot. Both teams want to win the conference and playoffs, and that makes it fun.”
For Schneider, the focus remains steady. “We don’t worry about the field or weather,” he said. “It’s about who we play and how we come together as a team.”
With facilities upgraded and expectations rising, the Red Devils embrace the grind. “You want to be where people want to be the best,” McKim said.
